Raptor Release: Part 3

The Raptor Center relies on volunteers.  And, for a celebration like this, there were a number of volunteers present. 

Meet Kathy.

And, meet the Barn Owl, her charge.  He got a little nervous with the people so close...and with a hawk circling overhead.  So, she walked with him, talking quietly to him...and tried to calm him down. 

That is a beautiful bird.
