Key West: Ernest Hemingways Home: A Farewell to Arms
Hemingway was wounded in WWI. While recovering, he met Agnes von Kurowski, a nurse who cared for him. Apparently she rejected his advances and to get even, Hemingway wrote her into Farwell to Arms and killed her off.
