Yes, there was something for everyone.

And yes, this is where the ladies got their wine!  You pay a flat fee...draw a number...and you get that bottle of wine.

Minnesota State Horticultural Society: Entertainment

I was able to attend the Minnesota State Horticultural Society's annual fund raising dinner.  This is actually the second year I was able to attend.  I have friends who are active members.  And, at least one of the years in the not too distant past, I was able to provide some of the entertainment.  

They have invested more money this year and got someone good!

I didn't get this person's name.   And, he was obviously focused.  So, I tried not to disturb him.

He had a great touch on the keyboard and provided a wonderful ambiance for the event!

She is a franchise owner, model and spokesperson for their motorcycle handiwork!   They sell clothing for both men and women, organize rides, and will build you a custom chopper.  Not bad at all!

They are members of the Christian Motorcycle Association.   Tim helped me understand some of what I had heard from the Bond Slaves group.   It helped me understand the language and culture a bit.   They were giving away a book entitled, "Home for the Highway."

On the Road: Sleeping In and Late Nights

Back on the road again.   Sleep and rest is really underrated.  And, now and then, you just need to sleep-in and let the body catch up.  Spend a little quiet time.   Waking slowly.

It's lovely to have people who understand this.

Then, you get up and have a late dinner just before the place closes.

And it was good.

Meet Malinda!

Malinda was just delightful and charming.   And, she is running a clothing company that specializes in women's motorcycle attire.

Not only that, she has a closed Facebook group of over 30,000 women riders!

I was thrilled she took the time to chat with me.  

And, I was even more thrilled when she invited me to show up at a motorcycle shop in early May to photograph some of her followers as they got ready for a day's ride.

If memory serves me correctly, it was Stevie's father who owned the bar.  Stevie was just minding his own business when a business marketing idea hit him.

This is a group that somehow got its start in a small bar in Coon Rapids, MN.  It started as some kind of joke with the waitress, who enjoyed it.

At any rate, it is Dirty Whooores....WHOOOOOOOO'rs.   Sound a bit like an owl and you've got it.

A Victory Engineer

Meet Dave from Vicworks!

Dave has a passion for rebuilding bikes.  Not just any bikes.  He only works on Victory's.  He finds older and damaged bikes, and he learns the story of each one.  Then, he begins rebuilding it. 

His work was amazing.   He was...passionate, to say the least!
