Shotgun Engraving: Old Shotguns

One of the more interesting exhibits was of old shotguns.   Not only are they beautiful and functional, they are VERY expensive.  I was looking at shotguns that were running more than $50,000. 

I was pleased they let me get this close to them for the photos.

Meet JaJuan.

What an incredible smile.   She was part of the public-facing group that went to events to talk to prospective recruits and to publicize some of the great things they do.   She was a bit shy about being asked for a photograph.  Normally they do the photography!!   But what a lovely smile.

I wonder if that shirt would be politically appropriate at a company event.  Inquiring minds want to know.   I wonder if you can buy that shirt without being a minimum size.........I wonder if I'd qualify!   GOSH...something else to worry about!

Apple Autos

I was a bit surprised to find an auto dealership there.   But, Nancy was a very willing subject.   As I explained my blog to her, her husband walked by.  So, I got his photo as well.

Dave and I had somethings in common.  He was also a photographer and, if memory serves me correctly, did some work with Google.

Pheasant Fest

I have never been to Pheasant Fest before.  It is a sportsman show for those who want to hunt pheasants.   I didn't know quite what to expect.  But I wasn't disappointed.

Just a few more images of the people who braved the elements!

You couldn't be outside for long without gloves.  So, if you were taking photos, you had to be fast.   The gentleman below had it figured out better than I did.

It was definitely chilly.

I actually don't know how this guy didn't freeze.   I was dressed very warm and still had to go inside to warm up a bit.  A hat is really necessary!

I suspect he doubled as Santa a couple of months earlier.  

A Few More Colors on a Cold February Morning.

They are amazingly graceful.   Well, they appear to be so in the calm winds.

I am not a fan of the duck balloon.   There is something about tradition that makes this seem just wrong.
