I had a wonderful conversation with the couple below. I hadn't met them before. But, they were relatives of my neighbors (whose son was the groom). I was impressed with him. He had done well in his career. And, when the economy tanked, he suffered and lost his business. Rather than mope around and wait for someone to help him, he moved, got a job, and started a new career.
He doesn't yet know whether this will be his long term career. But, he enjoys the new job even with the long hours often away from home.
He didn't sit around with his hand out. He found a job.
