Primarily portraits of people I know or with whom I cross paths. The primary reason to photograph them, is that I like them. They are interesting. They have nice smiles. They have lives with hopes and dreams. They are...Just People.

Motorcycle Show: Another Vintage Bike
Below is a well worn Terrot. Build in 1950, when France was still recovering from WWII, this was a quick way to get the people mobilized. This specific bike was used by a Paris police precinct until 1970, primarily for traffic and parking enforcement.
OK, I know this isn't "pretty". But, this has history and character written all over it.

Motorcycle Show: Vintage Bikes!
I must confess for an attraction to vintage motorcycles. Certainly the technology and "ride" is a lot more comfortable today. But, these bikes were just the start of an era. And, you can see
You are looking at a Peugeot, 1952, 176 TC4. This bike served in the French army (Algeria) from 1954-1962, when it was returned to France and painted green. It was "discharged" from the army in 1970 where it then went into a private collection and placed into a museum.
The museum went bankrupt and the bike was put on the open market where it was purchased and shipped to Minnesota.
And, here it is.
This is just cool.

Motor Cycle Show: Feb 2016: Flo's Chop Shop
I am sure most of my three readers have seen the ads with Flo as the representative for Progressive Auto Insurance. The show had a nice set up called "Flo's Chop Shop" where you could get a haircut.
Meet Brandon!
He was quite busy with a line of customers.
Nice mustache ya got there, Brandon! I think that's how they grow them in Texas!

Motor Cycle Show: Feb 2016: An Artist
Meet Makoto Endo.
Here you can see him hard at work. It is a wonderful artist that, at least part of the time, specializes in motorcycles.
He was at the motorcycle show courtesy of Progressive Insurance.
Take a look at some of his work.
The level of detail was incredible.
This was the subject at that moment.
Thank you, Makoto! It was a sincere pleasure!

Pond Hockey: In the Big Tent with Gunner
Meet Gunner!
Gunner has hilarious. He has been traveling all over the world participating in the Red Bull crash events. I can't recall where he said he had just come in from. But, he had a wonderful sense of humor.
If you are wondering what the big prize is for the Pond Hockey winners: Note the "trophy" below: Yes...that is a snow shovel engraved with their names.
VERY classy!
