Memorial Day: 2019

The photos below are actually from early winter of 2018.   A Memorial Park was dedicated to those men and women who served their counties over the last 100 years.   It was a pleasure being there to pay my respects.

From the area came a Medal of Honor recipient.   Keith Richard Sorenson threw himself on a hand grenade during WWII in the Pacific Theatre.   He saved the lives of his comrades.

Some of his family who still reside in the area were in attendance.  It was a pleasure to meet them.

Thank you, Private Sorenson.   And thanks to all the men and women who served their country.  Many of them have paid the ultimate price.

They were representing Pets Remembered.   Losing a pet can be a horrible experience.  They become members of the family.   Pets Remembered provides an  lovely decorative urn if you choose to have your pet cremated.

It was lovely meeting you both.  And, you perform a wonderful service to families that grieve the loss of a 4 legged family member.

When I was a young lad, my parents had a couple of toy poodles.  The dogs were smart.  VERY smart.

I have always though German Shepherds were beautiful dogs.  And, while many can be trained to be guard dogs.  I've seen many that were kind, gentle and loving.

Jody was representing Toni Tails Jewelry.  They make necklaces, bracelets and pendants in the shape of your favorite dog breed.   She was doing a wonderful business!
