Primarily portraits of people I know or with whom I cross paths. The primary reason to photograph them, is that I like them. They are interesting. They have nice smiles. They have lives with hopes and dreams. They are...Just People.

Traveling for Business: Winnipeg Views
I occasionally travel for business. And, most of the time I drag my camera around with me. One can never tell when something stunning or funny, or even just the mundane, may occur and catch my eye.
This is Winnipeg very early one morning last fall.
I really like Winnipeg. And, I like it a lot more in the spring, summer, and fall than I do in the winter. These images were taken from my hotel window.
Obviously, I was awake much too early!

Ramsey Days: Participants!
When I first saw this couple, I liked them almost instantly. They were sitting across from me on a bench and they were kind and gentle with one another. They were just resting and chatting.
Meet Miriam and Greg!
Greg builds custom fishing rods and loves fishing! He is clearly an outdoors guy. And, Miriam loves gardening and reading.
My sincere thanks to you both!

City Celebrations: Ramsey Days
It is very common in towns and cities across the world to have a celebration or two during the year. This was Ramsey Days. At least, that is what my falling memory remembers it being called.
And, you always need at least one band!
Megan has been in the blog before. But, this was the first time I had seen her with a band.
Vocalist, Base, Lead/Rhythm, and Drummer. A nice group!
Well done to Megan and the band!

New Years Day: 2014
Some people go out and party hard.
We made Ginger Bread houses with the grandkids. First are the basic ingredients of any well constructed Ginger Bread house. The trim!
The houses. And, each grandchild had their own. I like to encourage property ownership, ya know.
I thought this looked a lot like an outhouse. But, I kept that opinion to myself. Note the frosting that bonds the construction components!
The frosting also serves as the glue for the trim.
And, there was even some trim left over to just eat.
Nice and quiet. Well, sort of. Four little kids running around was just a different sort of celebration.

New Years Eve: 2014
Easy does it tonight, everyone. And, if you are drinking, find a sober ride home. Let's wind up 2014 fully intact. And, let's not start 2015 off with any tragedies.
There are people, and others, that depend upon you.
So be safe everyone.
And, as I finish 2014, I want to thank those who follow my blog. I know it isn't the most interesting blog in the world. And, I don't say anything remarkable. But I have tried to remain true to the blog's purpose: To remind me, and you, that we are all just people. We have similar dreams for a better world. We have similar hopes for our children. We may disagree about those dreams and how to achieve them. But, we have a lot of common ground, too.
For those of you who have been gracious enough to let me take your photo, I want to extend my sincere thanks. You get me out of my shell. You help me be creative. And, you help me bring the message forward that, we are all, Just People.

Game Fair 2014: K9 Water Fun
These dogs LOVED the water. They couldn't wait to run and jump in.
Of course, they had a job to do. Get the duck and bring it back.
And, once on dry land, a quick shake!
Deliver the duck. A job well done! And, of course, the next question is, "when do I get to go again!!!"

Do NOT be sidetracked by any weird people standing on the dock taking your photo.
