Your Responsibility

A few of my readers know me personally.  They know of my grand kids and have met them.  They know that there is nothing I wouldn't give up for them.  So, the events in Connecticut weigh deeply.  I can scarcely imagine what the parents and grandparents are going through.

This holiday season, in the rush of gifts and traditions, take a moment to hug your kids.  Spend time with them.  Hold them.  Read them stories.  Tuck them in.

You have no greater objective in your entire life than to ensure they are safe; That they are cared for and loved.  You no longer have your own self-focused life.  Your responsibility is them.
