Primarily portraits of people I know or with whom I cross paths. The primary reason to photograph them, is that I like them. They are interesting. They have nice smiles. They have lives with hopes and dreams. They are...Just People.

A Contest!
Care to venture a guess who this may be? A hint: He is a well known literary figure.
The winner will get the accolades of millions of people around the globe. Maybe!
The subject of the work was born in 1896 on Cathedral Hill (nope, you need to guess the city and state!). He spent the first 15 years of his life here and then moved, with his family, to Buffalo, NY. He returned to this area five years later and went to school here. He died in california, at age 44, over 65 years ago.
Thank you, Sir. I rarely get there to this area. But, I will keep that in mind. It is possible I will have a business event in the area this next week. If so, I just may swing by and check it out.
You know I have face recognition software. . . AND I know about the McKenzie Triplets, so I will have to decline.
ReplyDeleteGood photo though.
:-)
Sinclair Lewis
ReplyDeleteTo the brave Anonymous: SOOOOO CLOSE! But nope.

Anyone? Anyone? chirp...chirp....
Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald.
ReplyDeleteBut then I've been to Cathedral Hill in Pigseye, er, St. Paul when I lived nearby.
I couldn't save my life to pick him, Lewis, or T.S. Eliot out of a line-up, though.
We have a winner! Well done, Mr. North! And, I did chuckle at the Pigseye comment. Only a native would know that!

If you are ever in the Cathedral Hill area, check out W.A. Frost - phenomenal fine dining.
ReplyDeleteThe brother of a close friend is the chef - very talented.
