The Assiniboine Park is a beautiful area in the city. It includes the zoo (which I did not visit). Instead, I spent most of the day wandering the park and taking photos.
I particularly like the various statues and artwork throughout the park.
This piece caught my attention. It was originally on the façade of the Canadian Pacific Railways Royal Alexandra Hotel. Built in 1906, this piece stood over the main entrance. It was one of the finest hotels in Western Canada.
I wonder if it will fit over my front door.
